Saturday morning I headed out to Tampa to meet up at Alecia's. There were drums in the living room! We headed out for breakfast of Einstein bagels and Jamba Juice. Her pnut butter was metly and my cheese was not :( She was driving so I was managing to put melted pnut butter on her bagel while not spilling it all over. Hilarious.

We picked up her friend Matt and it was off to Gainesville! Amy Winehouse and Cafe Risque, nuff said.

We meet up with Aaron, his gf and some kid who shall not be named. Boca Fiesta!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So good. Good food, drums and dinosaurs! Inter was playing on the tele and I made the comment that it was almost 20 min into the game and Inter hasn't scored, that's not right. Not even a minute later the guys at the bar were yelling goal!

On the way back to the dorm/apartment place I crossed the street to take a pic of the Sold Out Ticket bill post. Everyone across the street starts screaming to take it! I'm trying to tell them that there's people right on the other side of the fence. Take it! So I start to and James walks up on his phone and goes "Don't take that, just kidding take it" So I did and it's 2-sided! I stayed on the one side and everyone was still on the other so I make up a scenario where I end up being chased for taking this post and then a cop drives by ahaha.

We hang out at Aaron's with some very interesting singing and interpretive dance is what I will call it. One who will not be named was being a total arse. I'm the nerd who always shows up to venues uber early and meets people in line. I started to get anxious and wanted to get there so I get dropped off and they were meeting me at some point.

I met some forum people, Josh Paul and someone with an A, I'm really bad with names at first. The Gabel family stopped by to say hello. Evelyn is seriously the cutest little kid ever. We ended up talking to Jay, the new drummer for a good hour. He's Max Weinberg's son, so at one point when he mentioned that to explain how he drummed for Bruce Springsteen; I got to say the one time I got to see Conan, your dad was on tour with Bruce. Awesome! Jay is super nice and really interesting to talk to.We got to explain how big of a band Hot Water Music is and how no matter if they're your style or not, Dropkick Murphy's will be a good time. His story of joining AM! was fantastic! He was in Madball for an album and didn't agree with their tour practices so he quits. They release a statement of lies saying he was fired. So he responds honestly without calling them out on what they did, James sees this and calls him up to come practice. After one practice, Tom asks him to join. He also used to finish Warren's set when he would jump off stage into the crowd at shows in NJ/NY. Common Grounds just randomly opened up so I had to awkwardly run back to my spot in line, but be like hey I don't want to be rude, but the doors. We all claimed our spots at the stage and Jay made his way into the venue and came over to finish our convo.

Alecia and co went to Boca again to I guess sober up? So I stayed with forum people. They were to my left. To my right was drunken minors...oh boy. During Fences and Cheap Girls I had to hold down one of the monitors because they girl kept flipping it up and yelling "that's legit" in my ear. Didn't even hear the first band at all. What I did hear though was fantastic!

AM! was the headliner so we're waiting for them to set up and they bring out the drums and they are gorgeous! I had a little drum geek out moment with myself. The set was fantastic, a good mix of old and new. I couldn't really hear the vocals, but we knew the words anyways. Jay's a great fit, so much energy! As soon as he started in on "Pints" everyone went crazy!Drunk girl kept climbing on the stage and dancing and for some reason didn't get kicked out. It was awkward because she had no clue and kept messing with things. The stage crew kept having to shove the one monitor back because she decided to sit behind it, so weird. I had a blast during the show and kept Tom's pedals from getting messed up. I got my first raspberry from a crowd surfer falling and my face hitting the monitor, battle wounds. I had told Jay that me and my friends(Alecia and co) had never seen Stop! live and he said we might just hear it tonight. It was part of the encore and we all flipped out! I drummed along and shouted out every word. Fantastic. The forum, mainly Josh had an idea to get We Laugh at Danger and me and Paul were in on it. And it worked. Everyone went nuts. After wards they both ended up with set lists and I found picks for me and Alecia. I was soaked, my legs were locked, but I wouldn't trade any of it for the world.

I was going to take pics, but by the third one, my camera was like nope this isn't happening. I did keep it safe though along with gadgets of Paul's.
