There aren't enough words to say this all...

So much has happened over the past couple of days, that I don't even know where to begin.

WEST MEMPHIS FREE!!!!! That's a pretty damn good start. It was announced that the boys would have a court appearance for a plea Friday on Thursday and by Noon Friday it happened! They're finally finally FINALLY FREE!!!!! It's been 18 long years, but they're free. Not proven innocent yet,but they'll be out of that jail cell hell! Best fucking news!

I have the greatest friends on the entire Earth. I was having the worst week with my old job still screwing me over and denying my unemployment. I started stressing over bills. I was going to use the first check for bills and to swing getting to Orlando Friday to see Alkaline Trio during their 15th Anniversary tour, which would also be my 15h show(funny, for someone who isn't good with numbers, I do like significant ones). I wasn't going to be able to go and it was a bummer. A bummer that kept growing. They've been advocates for the West Memphis Three forever and were super stoked on the pending news as well. They were even relearning "Prevent This Tragedy" for the Friday show. It's a song they wrote about the West Memphis Three. A great song I might add! I also knew a good amount of people from all over FL that would be there as well. I went to bed at 3am Friday, not thinking I was going. I woke up a little before 9am to text messages from my Bestest friend Olivia, saying she'd give me gas money to Orlando as a birthday/xmas gift!!!!!!! Holy shit! I then scammbled to get ready. I had to attend a job fair in Estero before I could head over to Orlando. All I can say is job fairs for Game Stop are effing weird. I was the only girl for the longest time aha.

Then drive, drive, drive to Orlando!!!!! They upped Pas the Line to 20 bucks now, lame! i still did it though. Gabe ended up being 4 people in front of me. The 3 girls between us did Pass the Line wrong so I ended up by Gabe...and was number 7 in line again.... crazy ass "7" wasn't there this time thank goodness! The people we were in line with ruled. My phone was dying so if you tried to get ahold of me...my bad. We get in and claim our spots. Can someone tell me when the fuck House of Blues started letting in cameras? Because for the past 8 years I've gone, no cameras EVER. But West Memphis Free and being at this show trumped anything else! Some dude tried to talk us out of our spots by letting us up to some VIP shit by the bar upstairs. Seriously? the Drowing Men(aka the Gentlemen) ruled! They all have amazing beards and mustaches. People come out and dance and sing with them. One guy looked sooo much like Jordan, I couldn't turn away from him aha. meiwthoutyou is fucking amazing live. See them. NOW!

"Don't Lose Touch" played while we waited for Alkaline Trio, fuck yeah! Oh fuck! Back to Thursday! Tom announced the free show in Brooklyn would be live streamed. All my NY/NJ/PA friends were in attendance! I got to see it too! And my buddy Chris got on stage for me!!!!

And back to Friday! I wore my praying hands Trio shirt along with a West Memphis Free decal to pray for their release/celebrate it!!!! Within 2 songs Matt spotted it and got stoked! it was awesome! Me and Gabe went nuts. Singing and dancing to every song. A few songs in, Matt hands his guitar off and talks about the court news and goes to his "Free the West Memphis Three" cabinet and goes' I finally get to do this' and rips it off! I've never clapped as loud or celebrated more then that moment. All the excitment of the day was displayed right there. We were all like kids at Christmas! It's hard to put into the words, all the emotions in that room. After"Prevent This Tragedy" they played "Goodbye Forever" in memory of Ryan Dunn. So fitting. At one point Matt and Derek leave and Dan plays " I Remember a Rooftop" for his wife, awwwwwwww! Then they come back out and do Damnesia songs! Acoustic sets rules. I used the rest of my battery life to get some quick pics in.

Afterwards I grabbed my camera and Gabe his vinyl and we hung around to see everyone. Ashley and thier 2 friends met up with us too. I hadn't seen Ashley in over a year! Disney had stolen her voice :( I got to say a quick hello to Dan and told him about it being the 15th show during the 15th annivesary in which we high fived! He was trying to leave with his family and people were chasing him down, poor guy. I can't do that to anyone. Gabe got his vinyl singed by everyone and I got stoked about WMF with Derek and Matt. Aha Derek said he saw us going nuts up front, good times. I was so excited i started jumping and speed talking.

I didn't end up getting home until 5am. I went to bed at 6:30 am and was up by 8:30 am. I was doing stuff around the house and then found at noon that I was then going to get ready and get my butt over to Miami for Mitzucon to see my friends in the 3000 Brigade. This time they had done 2 shows! Friday and Saturday night! I speed packed and put together a " from my closet Dr Who" get up, complete with sonic screwdriver! I got a fancy Tate's badge when I got there! It was soo great seeing everyone! It's been months and months is too long! Andreanna made all the girls the cutest I-Up hair clips <3. It was a straight up anime con, so I was out of my element. It was fun,but I knew nothing. I was helping record the show so I went to the costume/skit contest to claim and spot and still ended up 4th row. I didn't know any of the costumes. I used my camera. Hopefully my footage is usable, kids in the walkway getting in my way. There's soo much footage from the shows now! I won't spoil anything, but the show was great. Hilarious as usual! Bravo, bravo! Afterwards we all hung out in the various rooms. it was a blast. it was a good unwinding to such a crazy filled weekend for everyone. Sundays at cons are always interesting. Everyone's winding down or getting final bursts of energy. We crashed the props panel and there were some dance offs and sing-a-longs. And hugs for miles. Definetley hard leaving Miami. Worst.Driving.Storm.Ever. when I hit Naples all the way home too.

To everyone who made the weekend happen and were apart of it, thank you and I love you all!

Are You Restless Like Me?

I keep writing in my paper journal, sorry guys.

So the work situation is shit. Over worked, underpaid and some fucked up harassment issues. I finally weighed myself and it's not good. At a scary fucking level. I have no idea what I'm going to do. The recession is still hitting hard here so no jobs. I have no where else to go either. I almost did in Tampa, but it fell through.

Besides that I've been recording more and then's been some awesome events in town.

I donated my hair! Right before Bike Prom too which was fun! We did a 7 mile ride all fancy. I was head to toe bikes and polka dots, it ruled!

Enoch and Natalie aka Ancient Whales moved to North Carolina. It looks gorgeous there and I'm happy for them. Luckily I got to record their last show here. They will be missed here. Their shows were so much fun and full of crazy good energy.

Common Grounds is closing by the end of this month. Fucking bummer. So many bands have played there through the years. So many FL bands. Right in the heart of Gainesville too. A show was put together 2 weeks ago for one last week. It was Against Me!, Ninja Gun and another(personal reasons why I choose not to name them).I bought my ticket and told work I had a last hurrah get together in Gainesville. I got a hold of Tom and everything got ok'd for me to record the show. He even added that they wouldn't pull any of that shit they did in NY(meaning the venues). Hell yes!

I drove up to Tampa and then Alecia drove us to Gainesville where we hung out and nerded out with Aron all day. I was Will Call and Guest Listed so we went early and danced to Wally wally wally wally world while the line formed and they got the lists together. Both were supposed to be the same but I waited in one line to be sent to the other. I used my guest listing to get in and wanted to give my ticket away.We had it all set up for Alecia's friend, but he never came! I just wanted someone else in that building! I got the biggest hug from Andrew and we talked cameras.Technology nerds. Ninja Gun was amazing. I danced like crazy and they covered Sabbath! Thank goodness I had Alecia and Aron there to get me through the next band.

Oh yeah! There were signs posted all over stating that there would be filming that night and by entering you're signing the waiver-AM! I partially had signs! There was a guy taking pics and I could see he did some video too. But hell yes!

There was no room on the side of the stage so I ended up standing on a railing to record. I was standing before they started and for almost 5 songs when I was told I couldn't stand. I was so focused on recording at that point that I didn't realize what the guy was saying. Luckily I was careful and you don't hear any of that on the video.First time I used zoom too! I ended up kneeling the rest of the set. I didn't realize it until the encore and seeing the footage ,but that was one of the loudest shows I've ever been to. Right up there with the Body when they played Hoople. Both shows everything shook from the noise. The entire building! The set was great, the crowd was great! Warren was right up in the pit and danced with Alecia! I did have 2 Thrash Unreal ladies next to me. Luckily they stopped yelling once the music started. Well until there was a pause and they drunkenly yelled thrash unreallll thrash unnnnnnnn reaaaalll. Then when it's played at the end of the set, they talk and then run into me. After kneeling for an hour your knees are asleep and if they get hit it's the worst pain, you can't move. I somehow got my legs to move so I could sit for the encore. I caught all the little interactions the guys had on stage, it was great. Most.Fun.And.Hottest.Show.Ever.

It's part of history and someone had to capture it. I'm thrilled it was me. So many people ended up on stage for the last song. I couldn't even find Jay or Andrew at the end. Alecia and Aron went and chilled in the car and I went up to the stage with everyone else. It was only Tom when I got there and as soon as I could get to him I just exclaimed I got it! I got it all! He couldn't wait to see the footage. I got pics and we look so stoked with excitement from that show. So much energy in one room! I made sure to find Jordan and thank him too before we headed out.

A few days later was Tomness Fest. Tom was in a bunch of bands back in the day and a part of the community here. He unfortunately lost his fight with cancer. 3 nights of shows were put together to raise money for his family to cover medical bills and funeral costs. It's a sad situation, but everyone got together to celebrate his life.

The last night The Anchorite Four reunited again to play the fest. I got to record them too. It was amazing on different levels. One of the bands from here I would go see all the time was back together. I've got a good amount of pictures , but besides a few vids from an old digital camera I didn't have any video. Now I've got a whole set! And a lot of money was raised and people celebrated life. Luc told me afterwards"don't delete that show", wise words.

2 bands I love. 2 bands I don't get to see all the time, I got to record in the same week. Last week ruled.

I'm always humbled when the shows, 14 now! get 20 views because I know there's at least 20 people at them. It was really exciting seeing how fast and many views the AM! video got. I'm so humbled by all the nice things people have been saying about all the videos from last week and in general. I worked hard and went through a lot to get where I am. I just love music and capturing it in any way I can.

Is too aggravated to be motivated and it effing sucks.

I'm over work,it's bullshit. Too much shit talking going on. They hate me, fucking good. They don't know the half of it.
I recorded another show last Saturday. Found out I had the day off Friday night so it worked out for that matter.

I give you Autarkeia!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkasEQjj7OE

I may be ballsy, but I'm not a balla

So a lot of aspects of my life have turned to shite lately. Things at work haven't gotten better, I'm leaving after season. My mum's health has been all out of whack and my dad's work situation has been terrible too.

I had a decent tax return so I decided to use it to go away and see my bestie. There's times when you just need them and this was one of them. Everything worked out great for it. Her and her sis weren't busy, tickets were hella cheap (less then 200 round-trip!) and I got to throw in a good ol' Irish Punk show with some FL punx too in too(Up da FL punx!) I gave work 5 weeks heads up, they didn't tell me no and then tried to get all pissy right before. Whatevz.

The trip worked too. Everything is still dumb, but I'm not as stressed about it.

4 days of awesome.

I got there and it was all rainy the one day. Cheered Olivia up with random awesomeness. Then hung around Roseland for the show. Met some great people, had some interesting chats with the staff. The show was a lot of fun. AM! came out and I yelled Up da FL punx aha. Their set was great and a blast. I def had the set list when it got tossed but everyone went nuts for it. I ended up the most and one of the photographers saw and asked to take a pic, we're all in a review and look so stoked. Every pic I'm in from the trip I looked stoked and destressed. There was a group of Dropkick fans who sucked. They were there to take as many people out as possible. One ended up behind me and he was trying to crush me, I could feel him readjust himself to put more pressure on me(he was also 3 times my size). I couldn't do anything to shake him. Then he started to choke me with the side of his arm too...to stop breathing is not a good feeling. I ended up getting pulled out for the first time ever. Everyone who still remained up front who I had met and the 2 awesome guards all high fived me for getting the hell out of there. They all saw what happened. I ran into everyone from line and the a same guys took most of them out. Lame! What I saw and heard of DKM was awesome, but a few of us ended up leaving earlier. I get to Olivia's new awesome place and I'm being all quiet, only to walk in an they're yelling between the floors lolz.

The next day I took my time going into the city. I woke with a bruised chest. I love exploring the city. Walking around calms me. I hit up Nintendo World and Rockerfeller. Got a sweet coat(I only own hoodies) and wandered the park right after I found a shark beanie I should add. I could spend an entire day there...and have. I decided to be ballsy and I sent Tom a message saying that I was torn between asking him to let me record the secret show Saturday or to just sing my heart out. After paying my respects at Strawberry Fields, I headed to the Broadway area where me and Olivia were meeting to see Rain( box seats muthafuckas). She was running late from work so I wandered around. Who do I run into but Tommy Gabel. I wave and say hi, he comes over and we chat a little and he tells me that he got my message and if I want to I can record Saturday! Holy shit, I must of looked like a kid at christmas! I told him yeah if they want me to and he told me to just let him know online for sure. !!! I find Olivia and freak out a little aha. we had some delish thai and went to the theatre. Box seats are awesome. We acted pretentious for the hell of it. The broadway adaption is AMAZING!!!!! Their John and Ringo are too good. We were dancing and singing and would overly applaud everything(welll done sir, well done sir). We felt a little bad for the couple behind us,but they were offered other seats and didn't say anything to us. Afterward we happened upon the theatre Daniel Radcliffe was performing at and the actors and actresses walk out afterward to meet people so we creeped on Daniel. I got some ok pics.

Saturday I went to the city earlier to try and find things for my camera and Olivia tried to score us tix to Daniel's play(so close!). We met up at Mercury Lounge. I saw Tom again and he told me he had a pass set aside for me. We go in and I give my name for our tickets and say I have a pass too. The lady claims they don't do passes and cameras are allowed. I told her it was to record and she did a total 180 on me and gets this bitchy attitude and sends me over to the corner. She's telling me recording isn't just allowed and that it costs 250 bucks and who's this Tom, get a hold of him. Oh man, so I'm sending him messages and she won't let us go anywhere. Andrew was right there though talking to some guy so I walked over and apologized for interrupting, but did he know where Tom was because I'm the one who's supposed to be recording and the lady won't let me through. He's a total sweetheart and introduces himself and goes I know who you are, I'll go find Tom or Jordan, don't worry. So then Jordan comes over and talks to the lady. She's all nice to him and goes on and on about this 250 dollars and we're both like yeah we're not doing that and she finally let's us through, but don't take out that camera. Jordan was super nice about it too. I thanked him and apologized that he even had to come out there. All the lady had to do was say you can't record. Not get all these people involved.

What a roller coaster of emotions. I was still super excited, just a different excited. My heart went from in my throat from being excited and nervous from this chance I was given to deep in my stomach. Still excited regardless. Lolz I got Olivia to go by promising plaid, beers and beards. We sent numerous ,messages back and forth on the subject. Trophy Wife opened and they were great. Girl duo from Philly. They have this really neat good luck box full of random stuff. The AM! set was by far one of the best. I heard pretty much every song in live rotation that I wanted to. I managed to get some great pics while singing along and dancing. One girl did not know how to crowd surf and got thrown and landed on me. No biggie. Well until she kicked me in the wrist for no reason, she was already down and I cushioned her from the stage. my wrist got cut and bruised. Jay saw it too, we're injury twins. Everyone was turned towards Tom so I kept turning towards James. I love the new things they've been doing with Jay, he's such a good fit. Andrew was so energetic. Kept doing the gator chomp lolz. It was a little weird/awesome when they started Miami for the encore and I only heard me freak out. Some kid creeped next to me and took Tom's set. I asked the sound guy for Jay's and moved the monitors out of his way so he could get to the wires. I got it, so being nice pays off. Me and Olivia were just hanging out on the bench inside while people were leaving and things were getting packed up. Andrew came over to make sure everything was ok with getting in and to see if they gave me anymore trouble. Seriously a sweetheart, he didn't have to do that. I told him I came from FL to see them(up da FL punx!)He goes I know, hold on, Cape Coral right? I see your messages on twitter. Aha, I can't be super annoying or he wouldn't of come over and they wouldnt of said I could record. Olivia points out his gator chomp to which he responds that h doesnt really care about any of that shit. I told him she went to FSU and they had a little "fight" over Gainesville vs Tally. Sidenote sound guy with the glasses went to FSU too, Olivia's new boy aha. I couldn't stop laughing.

Their equipment trunks are named and one was Conan O'Brien which amused us greatly.

James was drunk to say the least when I went over to say hi. He'd joke around and then apologize. A lot of people were visiting so I kinda had a hurried chat with him.

Outside Olivia was creeping on and endless line of boys. Tom came up to me and made sure everything was ok from earlier. Again so sweet. He apologized that he forgot some big cities like to make money on everything. It wasn't their fault at all and they were all super nice and professional about it all. Before we parted ways we wished each other safe travels back to FL.

We went to this fantastic Alice in Wonderland tea house! We would get the table with the creepy doll though. Food never taste so good. After we met up with Alecia and Sarah and they all got HP shots which I documented. The bartender was great and my shirley temple was free! Random dancing while charging my phone too. We got some desert and then creeped on Daniel again. Alecia and Sarah had gone to the play earlier and they ended up meeting him!

Lazy Sunday wake up in the late afternoon... we went and got brunch...ok make that sandwiches and Popovers. Go there when in NYC!!! Soooo good! Went to Magnolia to get 6 cuz that Bakery has got all the bomb frostings. Ended up at a mall with Dali pieces on display, hell yes.Quick stop at the park and some much needed time at Sanrio. Then headed back to the apartment and chilled before I headed to the airport.

Good trip. Good times with my bestie. Good times with FL punx. Good new people. Good good food.

i really should of been "kidnapped" and helped Olivia at her work though...
I've been writing in my actual journal way more lately.

The work situation still hasn't gotten any better.

For better or worse, it all changes tomorrow.

I've had boxes packed for 2 years for moving, but things kept happening. I had to unpack them the other day. Not giving up, just keeping the peace in a house that's tense as hell.

Lake's Park is awesome. I've been going as much as possible to ride. I had a pretty decent fall that cut and bruised me all up, didn't feel any of it. Further proof I am turning into a mutant.

I got a pretty decent tax return and decided to use part of it to go up to NJ/NY and see Olivia. I will also be attending the Dropkick Murphy's St. Patty's day tour with Against Me! and now OWTH. Should be crazy fun. I'm going to explore, eat, hang out, eat, sing my heart out, eat, party with some DP, eat.

I'm going a convention in Miami Saturday. My friends in the 3000 Brigade are performing! i can't really afford any of the things going on at it, but I have a pretty sweet surprise.

I'll also get to see my "baby daddy" again

Seriously don't watch Regular Show. That shite is crazy and not in the good way. Making kids dumb.

Blah,Blah,Blah,You're Making Me Sick

I try to keep certain events to myself. Sometimes things just don't need to plastered all over the interwebs for everyone to see. But I need to get this off my chest. Shouldn't be too bad on here since maybe 5 people even read this.

I work with a lady who is infamous, INFAMOUS for lying and manipulating. She's done it for years. I was told when I first started by a manager about her lies, wonderful. It's a small company owned by a billionaire so they don't exactly care too much about what some employees get away with. Or exactly want to solve problems.

Last week she randomly starts yelling about all these lies she's made up about me. Claiming things like I turn down the music only when she's there. I keep it at the volume it was at when I came in, I only switch what's being played. That very night I had customers complimenting what was being played, but it's turned down right?

Then she goes on about how I don't talk to her as much as other people. I'm just not a super talkative person, especially at work. I go there to work. If we happen to talk while working it's called multitasking. She yells across the store and keeps you from working. But I do talk to her, just not all the time. But then again I don't talk to anyone all the time. I go through phases I guess of talking a lot and then not.

All of this must be because I don't like her. This isn't the case. She can be annoying at times yes, but nothing enough to not like her.

So I count out and I go over to talk to her about all this. I explain how I'm just not a super talkative person and that I do like and apologized if I made her feel any other way. After all my explaining and apologizing, she then accuses me of being prejudice. I had to tell her I was not and re explain everything all over again. She's finally ok with everything and we leave.

I'm not ok with it all though. I let all the management know what happened. They all agree I was in the right and that everything she said wasn't true at all. They said they'd talk to her about because you can't go around thoughtlessly accusing people of something like that. And it's not true! They even said she needs to apologize to me.

Except they haven't even spoken to her about it. So now 3 times a week I get to work with her and act as if everything is fine when I am really just sick to my stomach.

I haven't been able to eat in a week, everything makes me sick.

I raised myself to treat everyone equally and to give everyone a chance. It's a terrible thing to have the one thing you've brought yourself up being against so carelessly thrown at you. And with no consequences whatsoever.

This place is ridiculous, I need a new job.

Sunday, January 23, 2011

Saturday morning I headed out to Tampa to meet up at Alecia's. There were drums in the living room! We headed out for breakfast of Einstein bagels and Jamba Juice. Her pnut butter was metly and my cheese was not :( She was driving so I was managing to put melted pnut butter on her bagel while not spilling it all over. Hilarious.

We picked up her friend Matt and it was off to Gainesville! Amy Winehouse and Cafe Risque, nuff said.

We meet up with Aaron, his gf and some kid who shall not be named. Boca Fiesta!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So good. Good food, drums and dinosaurs! Inter was playing on the tele and I made the comment that it was almost 20 min into the game and Inter hasn't scored, that's not right. Not even a minute later the guys at the bar were yelling goal!

On the way back to the dorm/apartment place I crossed the street to take a pic of the Sold Out Ticket bill post. Everyone across the street starts screaming to take it! I'm trying to tell them that there's people right on the other side of the fence. Take it! So I start to and James walks up on his phone and goes "Don't take that, just kidding take it" So I did and it's 2-sided! I stayed on the one side and everyone was still on the other so I make up a scenario where I end up being chased for taking this post and then a cop drives by ahaha.

We hang out at Aaron's with some very interesting singing and interpretive dance is what I will call it. One who will not be named was being a total arse. I'm the nerd who always shows up to venues uber early and meets people in line. I started to get anxious and wanted to get there so I get dropped off and they were meeting me at some point.

I met some forum people, Josh Paul and someone with an A, I'm really bad with names at first. The Gabel family stopped by to say hello. Evelyn is seriously the cutest little kid ever. We ended up talking to Jay, the new drummer for a good hour. He's Max Weinberg's son, so at one point when he mentioned that to explain how he drummed for Bruce Springsteen; I got to say the one time I got to see Conan, your dad was on tour with Bruce. Awesome! Jay is super nice and really interesting to talk to.We got to explain how big of a band Hot Water Music is and how no matter if they're your style or not, Dropkick Murphy's will be a good time. His story of joining AM! was fantastic! He was in Madball for an album and didn't agree with their tour practices so he quits. They release a statement of lies saying he was fired. So he responds honestly without calling them out on what they did, James sees this and calls him up to come practice. After one practice, Tom asks him to join. He also used to finish Warren's set when he would jump off stage into the crowd at shows in NJ/NY. Common Grounds just randomly opened up so I had to awkwardly run back to my spot in line, but be like hey I don't want to be rude, but the doors. We all claimed our spots at the stage and Jay made his way into the venue and came over to finish our convo.

Alecia and co went to Boca again to I guess sober up? So I stayed with forum people. They were to my left. To my right was drunken minors...oh boy. During Fences and Cheap Girls I had to hold down one of the monitors because they girl kept flipping it up and yelling "that's legit" in my ear. Didn't even hear the first band at all. What I did hear though was fantastic!

AM! was the headliner so we're waiting for them to set up and they bring out the drums and they are gorgeous! I had a little drum geek out moment with myself. The set was fantastic, a good mix of old and new. I couldn't really hear the vocals, but we knew the words anyways. Jay's a great fit, so much energy! As soon as he started in on "Pints" everyone went crazy!Drunk girl kept climbing on the stage and dancing and for some reason didn't get kicked out. It was awkward because she had no clue and kept messing with things. The stage crew kept having to shove the one monitor back because she decided to sit behind it, so weird. I had a blast during the show and kept Tom's pedals from getting messed up. I got my first raspberry from a crowd surfer falling and my face hitting the monitor, battle wounds. I had told Jay that me and my friends(Alecia and co) had never seen Stop! live and he said we might just hear it tonight. It was part of the encore and we all flipped out! I drummed along and shouted out every word. Fantastic. The forum, mainly Josh had an idea to get We Laugh at Danger and me and Paul were in on it. And it worked. Everyone went nuts. After wards they both ended up with set lists and I found picks for me and Alecia. I was soaked, my legs were locked, but I wouldn't trade any of it for the world.

I was going to take pics, but by the third one, my camera was like nope this isn't happening. I did keep it safe though along with gadgets of Paul's.
